9) How to change the boot order?

How to change the boot order:

Normally, the laptop boots from the HDD, the C: drive.

But sometimes it should boot from the CD/DVD drive. Here how force it to boot from the wanted source.

During startup, before the windows logo appears, the screen will show a function key to enter setup.

For my ACER its F2: press the key displayed during startup.

Then the setup menu appears: it manages the BIOS settings. Be carefull changing them.
If you're not sure go to "exit" and "exit discarding changes".

On the tab-page "Boot" its possible to change the boot order. My custom settings are displayed in the picture below.
So first it looks for a bootable CD/DVD. If it can't find it, the next source is an external USB disk. On 3'd place my SSD disk.

If you have to change the bootsource many times in succession its handy to let the laptop ask for the bootsource evcery time you startup:

Set option "F12 Boot menu" on "Enabled" and exit with saving changes.

Next time you start up, the laptop will ask for the bootsource:
