10) Replace disk in your laptop

Replace old disk in laptop by new disk



1) ALLWAYS disconnect powersupply


2) remove battery pack at the bottom of laptop:




                         remove battery:



3) remove cover HDD:


Remove the cover at the bottom of your laptop. The harddisk is beneath the cover. Remove 4 screws (red arrows). Then open up the cover starting at the purple arrow; there is a notch to insert a small screwdriver. Obviously it might look different for your own laptop.






4) remove metall cover hard disk: 

Remove the screws in the metal box containing the harddisk (the green arrows; the SATA connection is at the right, red arrow)


5) Pull HDD from SATA connector:





6) now place the new drive by implementing the steps described before in reverse order:

The SSD is thinner than the old disk so you could fill that space with cardboard to make the SATA connectors level up.



push the new drive gently in to the SATA connector. The SDD is thinner than you're old drive so there is same space left under the disk. Fill it up with something, I used a piece of cardboard.



Then place metal box and screws. Put the backcover and its screws in place.
